Condition: aged: a little toned and minor flaws, otherwise good

Ippô lived in Osaka. He studied under Mori Tetsuzan (1775-1841), who later adopted him. He was one of the outstanding painters of the third generation Maruyama-Shijô painters. About 1850, he executed some of the paintings for fusuma, sliding doors, of the imperial palace.
