Born in Fukui prefecture. Graduated from from the Kyoto Municipal Painting College,Worked in Kyoto. Studied with Ikeda Yôson (1895-1988). In 1943 he was asked for the Shin Bunten for the first time and regulary exhibited at the Teiten.
